Lisa Ginsborg holds a Ph.D. in Public International Law from the European University Institute (EUI) in Florence, Italy. She has previously worked as a Post-Doctoral Researcher at University College Dublin, as a Teaching Fellow at the European Inter-University Centre for Human Rights and Democratisation (EIUC) in Venice, and was a Visiting Researcher at New York University (NYU) School of Law, and at the Sydney Centre for International Law at the University of Sydney. Before starting her doctoral studies, she worked in the legal department of the International Secretariat of Amnesty International and in the NGO Liaison Office of the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (UN OHCHR).She holds an LL.M in Comparative, European and International Laws from the European University Institute (EUI) and an M.Sc. in Political Sociology from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). Her research interests include international human rights law, international organizations and counter-terrorism.
