    Alessio Postiglione is a journalist, political adviser and political communications specialist whose views are published in top Italian newspapers such as “La Repubblica” and “The Huffington Post Italia”. Formerly an op-ed contributor to “Europa” and a freelance investigative reporter for the weekly magazine “l’Espresso”, Alessio currently runs a blog for “Euractiv.eu”. Other media partnerships include the daily newspapers “Terra” and “Il Mattino”. He has also held the position of editor-in-chief of “Napoli in Comune”, the house organ of the Comune di Napoli.

    Alessio teaches Digital Journalism and Political Marketing at Luiss University (Rome), Rome Business School and Centro di Documentazione Giornalistica (Rome); he previously taught at Naples’ “L’Orientale” university and lectured at the University of Urbino and at the European Parliament in Brussels.

    As a political adviser and campaign manager, Alessio has been working for different members of Italian and European Parliaments and top Government officials. He has managed Corporate Communications for more than 30 Italian Municipalities.

    Alessio’s publications include “Citizenship: a new balance between universalism and particularism. The case of Italian Ius culturae”, in the Mediterranean Journal of human rights, 2017; and “The leftist rhetoric of the right wing propaganda” in L’extrême droite en Europe (Bruylant, Belgium, 2016). His latest investigative book is “Sahara, il deserto di mafie e jihad”, covering the connections between Islamic State and international Mafias.

    Alessio graduated summa cum laude in Political Science (Università degli Studi di Napoli “L’Orientale”) and holds a Master’s degree in Political Evaluation from IUAV and Ca’ Foscari universities (Venice).
