Renowned journalists, scholars and representatives of European tech companies share insights and best practices on the smart use of AI in journalistic work.
How can journalists smartly integrate the newest technologies in their work, while mitigating the risks AI can pose to job safety and the quality of journalism? The fourth online event of the M4CD – Media for Citizens and Democracy in the Digital Age training project brings together journalists, media researchers and representatives of European technology companies to share insights and best practices.
The event starts with a discussion of guidelines for ethical AI use and insights from recent research, followed by a lecture on recent scholarly insights about audiences’ perception of AI use in journalism. Finally, representatives of technology companies will explain how their products can be effectively integrated into the work of journalists and newsrooms.
Attendance is free of charge, but registration is required.
