World Press Freedom Day - Highlights from the Media Pluralism Monitor 2022
On this World Press Freedom Day, we share highlights from the preliminary results of the forthcoming Media Pluralism Monitor 2022, which has analysed the overall status of media pluralism in the year 2021.
CMPF Scientific Coordinator Elda Brogi has been appointed member of the Council of Europe’s Committee of Experts on Increasing Resilience of Media (MSI-RES).
The Committee brings together experts in freedom of expression, media, and digital technologies. Its main objectives will be developing guidelines on the use of digital tools, including artificial intelligence, for journalism and by journalists; and identifying good practices for sustainable media financing.
Prior to this, Elda has already been member of the MSI-REF Committee of Experts on Media Environment and Reform at the Council of Europe, Committee of experts on media pluralism and transparency of media ownership (MSI-MED) in 2016-2017 and the Committee of experts on protection of journalism and safety of journalists (MSI-JO) in 2014-2015.
