The event, organised as an informal expert seminar, will focus on the challenges for media freedom and media pluralism in the digital age. The outcome of the seminar will provide some input for the dialogue of EU Ministers in the General Affairs Council on 17 October 2017 on the role of the EU and the Member States in ensuring trust in a pluralistic media in the digital age.

Elda Brogi will participate in the first panel discussion on trust in the digital age. Pier Luigi Parcu will be the chair of the third (and final) panel on challenges to the rule of law in the digital age and new policy approaches.
